Factory Reset for 2012 Models

Having  issues with the settings on the receivers?

Try doing a factory reset. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS.  YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY.

To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the “CBL/SAT” button while doing that press the “STANDBY/ON” button.  You will see the word “Clear” in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go through the setup menu for all custom settings.

  1. TX SR606 AV Receiver
My HDMI connection does not activate with my TV until I turn the receiver on/off continuely. Sometimes up to 10 -15 times. I have cahnged the HDMI cable and tried another TV with the same results. I have also reset the receiever. The service center advised it could be capacitors or HDMI board, a problem with this model. This sounds fairly costly to repair.
Please advise any remedies or recalls for this model.
